Airmar B60 Transducer 600W 20° Tilted Element Bronze
Overview
Built for anglers running center-console or trailered boats with moderate deadrise angles (16–24°) who need accurate depth and temperature data without the bulk of larger transducers. If your boat's hull doesn't sit perfectly vertical in the water—and most don't—this transducer corrects for that geometry so your sounder actually reads straight down.
The B60 is a dual-frequency bronze thru-hull transducer that mounts almost flush to your hull and pairs with your Garmin chartplotter. The tilted ceramic element inside compensates for your boat's deadrise angle, delivering clean bottom returns and reliable depth readings in depths to 1,200 feet on the low-frequency side. It's a straightforward, proven solution for boats up to 26 feet where space and hydrodynamics matter.
Key Features
- Tilted Element at 20° — ceramic element is fixed at an angle inside the housing to correct for common hull deadrise angles (16–24°) — you get accurate vertical sonar returns instead of skewed readings that make your numbers unreliable.
- Dual Frequency (50/200 kHz) — low frequency delivers depth performance to 1,200 feet with a wide 45° beam for structure; high frequency gives you tight 12° targeting to 700 feet for detail work — switch between them depending on depth and what you're hunting.
- 600W Power — enough punch to punch through thermoclines and noise without overkill that drains your electrical system on smaller boats.
- Low-Profile Bronze Housing — extends only 3/16 inch outside the hull, so it doesn't create drag or affect your boat's running speed or fuel economy.
- Depth and Temperature — gives you water temp at the transducer location, not an estimate; critical for finding and following thermoclines where fish stack in summer.
