Airmar B117 Transducer 50/200 kHz Thru-Hull
Overview
Built for anglers running smaller center console or open boats up to 25 feet who need reliable depth and temperature on a tight budget. If you're fishing freshwater or inshore without needing high-frequency imaging, the B117 gives you the core sonar you need without the expense and complexity of a full transducer package.
This is a straightforward thru-hull transducer with dual-frequency performance and bulletproof compatibility with Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G systems. The nearly-flush bronze housing sits tight against your hull, drags minimal water, and stays out of the way if someone steps near it. You get 50 kHz for deep water reach and 200 kHz for detail in shallower zones — everything a working angler needs to mark bottom, structure, and fish.
Key Features
- 50/200 kHz dual-frequency — 50 kHz punches down to 1,200 feet with a wide 45° beam to cover water fast; 200 kHz locks tight with a 12° beam for detail in shallower water down to 700 feet.
- 600W peak power — enough punch to cut through noise and deliver clean returns in both fresh and salt water.
- Low-profile bronze housing — only 5 mm extends beyond the hull, minimizing drag and protecting the transducer if someone steps on it. Bronze won't corrode in saltwater applications.
- Right-angle cable exit — saves space in your bilge and keeps the cable protected from snagging or getting stepped on.
- Flexible hull mounting — rubber washer included to seal against irregular surfaces. Fits fiberglass or wood hulls with deadrise angles up to 12°, though performance is best through 7°.
- Depth only or depth and temperature output — choose the data you need for your fishing style.
Specs & What's Included
Compatibility: This transducer is wired with a 9-pin DT connector and works directly with Simrad, Lowrance, and B&G systems. If you're running one of those platforms and your sounder has a standard transducer port, this plugs in without adapters. Not sure if this works with your setup? Call or text us at (833) 831-4077 — we'll tell you straight.
What You're Installing: The B117 transducer only. You'll need a compatible sounder head unit already mounted in your boat. Requires a 2-inch thru-hull hole.
