Airmar B60 Transducer 20° Bronze Thru-Hull
Overview
Built for center-console and trailered boats up to 26 feet where hull deadrise angles run up to 24 degrees. If you're running a fiberglass or wood hull and want accurate depth and temperature data without a transducer that extends far beyond the hull, this is your choice.
The B60 is a 600-watt dual-frequency transducer that uses a tilted ceramic element to automatically correct for your hull's deadrise angle. Mount it nearly flush with the hull, and the element angles down to send your sonar beam straight to the bottom—no guesswork, no performance loss. You get 50 kHz for wide coverage to 1200 feet and 200 kHz for pinpoint detail to 700 feet, plus fast-response water temperature. It's built for anglers and boaters who want clean sonar without the complications of a retractable housing or external mounting.
Key Features
- Tilted Element Design — ceramic element is fixed at a 20-degree angle inside the housing — automatically compensates for hull deadrise so your sonar beam points straight down even on deadrise angles up to 24 degrees, giving you accurate depth and structure readings without alignment headaches.
- Dual-Frequency Operation — 50 kHz with 45-degree beamwidth for wide depth coverage to 1200 feet, and 200 kHz with 12-degree beamwidth for tight detail and fish marking to 700 feet — switch frequencies to match your fishing depth and the detail you need.
- 600 Watts of Power — enough output to cut through noise and get clean returns in rough water or heavy bottom composition — you'll see targets that weaker transducers miss.
- Low-Profile Bronze Housing — extends only 3/16 inch outside the hull, so there's no drag penalty on your boat's running speed or fuel economy — you lose nothing in performance.
- Fast-Response Water Temperature — real-time thermocline detection and temperature trending to dial in seasonal patterns and find active fish zones.
- Bronze Hull Material — purpose-built for fiberglass and wood hulls, with a durable urethane acoustic window that stands up to saltwater and freshwater use.
Specs & What's Included
Compatibility: This transducer requires a separate cable connection to your fish finder or sonar head unit—it is sold as a transducer-only component. Verify that your sonar system accepts a thru-hull transducer with a 60 mm hole diameter and 2.70-inch usable shaft length. Not sure if this works with your setup?
