Overview

Built for serious anglers running Garmin systems who fish mid-range depths and need reliable structure definition from shallow flats to deeper offshore grounds. This transducer handles everything from coastal trips to Great Lakes work, especially on boats with moderate deadrise angles that benefit from a tilted-element design.

The B175M is a medium-frequency workhorse that balances coverage, range, and target separation. It'll show you fish at depths past 1,500 feet, deliver clean bottom detail in moderate water, and give you the beamwidth flexibility to work different depths without switching hardware. On the water, that means one transducer that performs across your entire fishing calendar — whether you're hunting suspended fish mid-season or reading structure on shallow spring flats.

Key Features

  • Medium Frequency (85–135 kHz) — operates in the sweet spot between shallow-water definition and deep-water penetration — you get solid structure returns and fish separation from 30 feet to 1,500 feet without the dead zones that plague single-frequency designs.
  • CHIRP-Ready Single-Band — delivers 50 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer, meaning cleaner target resolution and faster response as conditions change — your screen updates faster and clutter drops when you need it most.
  • Tilted Element Design — the ceramic element is fixed at 12 degrees inside the housing to automatically correct for your hull's deadrise angle (up to 24 degrees) — this keeps the sonar beam aimed straight down even on boats with aggressive deadrise, eliminating the blind spots you'd get from a straight transducer.
  • 1 kW Power Output — enough punch to reach deep water and penetrate hard bottom without overkill that creates noise or excess power draw — solid balance for extended days on the water.
  • Bronze Housing — built for fiberglass or wood hulls, resists corrosion in saltwater and freshwater — you're not replacing this in three years.
  • Low-Profile Thru-Hull Mount — installs nearly flush to your hull for clean water flow at speed — maintains sonar accuracy even at plane, and minimizes turbulence that degrades readings.
  • Depth and Temperature Sensing — built-in water-temperature output pairs with your Garmin display so you're not installing a separate temp sensor — one less hole in the hull.

Specs & What's Included

Compatibility: This transducer ships with a Garmin 8-pin Mix & Match cable and is fully compatible with all Garmin CHIRP-ready sonar systems. Works with HELIX, ECHOMAP, and GPSMAP series units. Not sure if this fits your setup? Call or text us at (833) 831-4077 — we'll tell you straight.

Installation Details: Thru-hull mount with 55 mm (2.18 inch) usable shaft length. Requires a 95 mm (3¾ inch) hole in fiberglass or wood hulls, or 105 mm (4⅛ inch) in metal hulls. Handles hull deadrise angles up to 24 degrees. Weight is 2.7 kg (6 lbs). The urethane acoustic window is durable and resistant to impact damage from debris or accidental strikes.
