Overview

Built for serious inshore and offshore anglers who fish structure-heavy water and need maximum sonar flexibility in a single installation. Whether you're running canyon edge on a deep-water charter, hunting suspended gamefish in coastal bays, or working structure in moderate depths, this transducer pairs low and high frequency into one footprint — eliminating the compromise of choosing between wide coverage and fine detail.

The Airmar 599 is a dual-frequency CHIRP transducer that broadcasts across 112 kHz of total bandwidth from one in-hull mount. That means you get traditional fishing frequencies (28, 38, 50, 200 kHz) plus everything in between, with 5 to 10 times greater resolution than single-frequency units. You'll distinguish individual baitfish from gamefish, read bottom composition, and track structure with precision. For tournament and charter operations, one transducer doing the work of two saves installation complexity, weight, and cost.

Key Features

  • Dual-Frequency CHIRP Sonar — broadcasts across 28-60 kHz (low) and 130-210 kHz (high) in one transducer — gives you the flexibility to switch between wide-angle shallow structure and tight high-resolution deep-water detail without swapping hardware.
  • 112 kHz Total Bandwidth — one installation covers all popular fishing frequencies plus continuous sweep across the spectrum — means more sonar information on screen with fewer moving parts and no dead zones between frequencies.
  • Variable Beamwidth — low frequency cones from 23° to 9°, high frequency from 8° to 4° — lets you match your cone angle to water depth and structure type, improving target separation and bottom clarity in real conditions.
  • Depth Capability to 10,000 Feet — in-hull design rated for deep-water canyon and seamount tracking — opens up offshore opportunities most recreational anglers never attempt.
  • In-Hull Installation — mounts inside solid fiberglass hulls with 0° to 22° deadrise — cleaner than transom, no through-hull holes, and no performance loss in speed or sea state.
  • All Mounting Hardware Included — tank and fasteners supplied — you get everything needed to install; no hunting for adapters or brackets.

Specs & What's Included

Compatibility: This is a depth-only transducer compatible with any fishfinder or multifunction display that accepts Airmar CHIRP transducers via appropriate connectors. Your sounder must be CHIRP-capable to unlock the full bandwidth advantage. Not sure if this works with your setup? Call or text us at (833) 831-4077 — we'll tell you straight.

In the Box: Transducer housing with epoxy acoustic window, mounting tank, all fastening hardware, and installation instructions. Connector is not included — order separately based on your display's connector type (Garmin, Simrad, Humminbird, or Lowrance compatibility varies).
